Our New Adventure: Jordan

So we have finally arrived in Amman, Jordan, where we will be living for the next year... or two... or ten? We have moved to Amman as Brad got a new job at an international school called Amman Baccalaureate School.

We always get a little nervous making these big moves and having no idea what we are getting ourselves into. We were told a few different things about where we will be living and our accommodations, but we can never know for sure what we will get. In Kuwait we lived in a tiny little 1 bedroom apartment, and for the most part we were content living there. Yes it got small and crammed at times, but we were ok with it. Our place is Jordan told us that we would be getting a 2 bedroom apartment and is was super excited.

Well... yesterday we arrived to Amman... and were completely shock by our apartment... and location here are a couple pictures.

 Our living room/dining room
The hallway leading to our THREE bedrooms
My big kitchen which I am excited to finally be able to cook in.
And our other living room/ office

That is where we are calling home now. Soon I will update more about Amman and the city. I will also fill you in on our trip, and time back in Canada!

A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor...

Well we had another fantastic sailing trip with my grandpa this summer. I always love to go sailing, but rarely am I around to have the chance to go. The title of this post is appropriate, we encountered a few hitches getting out of the harbour, but once we were out sailing we had a fantastic time. My grandpa took myself, Brad and my sister and her family out for the day. The weather was great, some fast winds and a beautiful sun... here are some wonderful pictures of our day.

Waiting at the harbour to go out

 At the Nanaimo yatch club...
He likes to be the captain... we will let him pretend

My sister and her little man Aiden, who really liked the sway of the water, that or he was really tired.
The real captain of the boat, my grandpa, and the skipper.

The summer has been fantastic thus far... more to come and we start our adventure outside of Canada
