Island Tours

For the last few days Brad and myself have been visiting my family on Vancouver Island. For the most part this place is home, visiting lots of family and friends. These past two days we have been making time to do touristy things, like going to different islands that surround us. Yesterday we went to Newcastle Island and Protection Island, and today we went to Salt Spring Island. Here are the pics of the two days.

First stop on Salt Spring... coffee at Tree House Cafe
Tree House Cafe, such a cute place. Must go if you are on the island
 At the market

Eating at a raw eatery... such good food! Brad had a "burger" and I had bagel and "cream cheese"
Random music and dancing in the park! Very amusing
At Newcastle Island, talking around the parameter of the island

Having dinner with the family at the dinghy dock pub, on Protection Island!

I love exploring around, and seeing all the great touristy types of places that there is to see around the place that I call home :)

Cheers,
Serena

Seattle with the parents!

So I know that I am behind on blogging, but I have been busy seeing load of family and friends since arriving back in Canada.

Our flight back from Kuwait ended in Seattle. We chose Seattle because we were able to save loads of money, and we also love Seattle. My parents and myself and Brad have started ofwhat of a tradition of spending time in Seattle before or after our flights overseas. This time it worked out the my parents came to pick us up, here is a quick look of our fun time with my parents in Seattle (and the outlet malls) before moving on to Canada.

 Finally with my parents
Off to see the underground tour of old Seattle
 one of my favorite markets

 The classic gum wall

Have a fun time at the casino... we were winners! LOL not to mention the fact that we did not put any money of our own into the machine.
Shrimpmania was a favorite hehe.

Lots of fun and we look forward to more shopping trips and weekends away with my parents
I will hopfully post more of our summer soon, time seems to be passing away quickly!

Cheers,
Serena
