Netherlands part 2! My family heritage

Well I have been busy, and lacking in my updates.. but I have time now. My final blog post on mine and Brads adventures this summer. Well Netherlands was an amazing country, but also a chance for me to see where both my grandfathers were born and raised. The Bouma side of my family is from a small town called Dronrijp, in Friesland. The van Dijk side of my family is from Scheidam, just beside Rotterdam. I also had the opportunity to see my (mom's) cousin Tine who lives in a small town south west of Amsterdam. It was great to see family, and also have her show me the area. Here are some pictures to follow:

Made it to my homeland :)

With my cousin Tine, the door behind up led up to the family house

Where my great Grandmother lived

Previously this was the shipyard that was owned by generations of family, and where my grandfather also worked for sometime.

And this ends our amazing trip across Europe... and now for our summer in Canada...

Cheers,
