Shopping for the dreaded glasses

So I dread going to look for glasses, and I hate trying to find the "perfect" pair for my face. Brad has been saying for the longest time, that I should go invest in a new pair of glasses. I have had terrible luck with glasses, broke a pair on my own, and last year some of the little kids that I taught broke another pair. That left me with one pair of glasses, which well both my self and Brad weren't such fans of. So I keep putting off this dreaded experience of glasses shopping. The other day we were walking out of our regular grocery store, and we stop a glasses shop. We have been going to buy our groceries at the same place for the last year at least, and this is the first time that we notice it!!! Anyways in we go. I am about to have a breakdown (well not really) but I hate doing this. My face is wider than most, so often the glasses are not wide enough... and I am super picky and so is Brad. Needless to say in a store of many pairs of glasses, I am lucky if we can both agree on one. Anyways we begin the hunt. I try on many pairs with no luck. Finally I try on a pair that "might" work, in fact I quite like them, and Brad even agrees.. hmm winner??? I think so. I ask the guy how much the frames are, and then with the lenses too. To our delight the entire store is 40% off... hmmm I kinda like where this is going. The little voice in the back if my head lets me know about the sunglasses, and how it would be nice to get another pair of those... anyways back to the sales person telling me the cost. So they are on sale, all the frames. I ask about how much it would cost to get my eyes checked as it has been probably 4ish years since I had done that. Well in fact, it's FREE! Um what?? in my world none of that is free. Also to add he can check my eyes right away, have the glasses ready for me in 15 mins, and all at 40% off.... Do we speak the same language???

Anyways I have new glasses... but I did not buy sunglasses :( Maybe next time
